Marking the 100th anniversary of the relocation of the Folkwang Museum from Hagen to Essen, on the 6 August 2022 a steam locomotive (DB 78 468), fulled by charcoal produced from 7 cubics meter of timber cut at the wooded site of the unbuilt Folkwangschule, Hagen, designed in 1920 by Bruno Taut for the museum's founder Karl Osthaus, retraced the route.
